In this tutorial, we will use the Snort client, but the process is similar on most Nostr websites and applications.

Once your account has been created with Snort, you can switch to another application or website at any time by importing your account using the private key generated during setup.

#Create Your Nostr Account

Go to https://snort.social and click Sign Up.

The registration process will then begin through several steps described below.

Choose a username.

Choose an avatar.

Select your interests.

Select Nostr contacts to follow.

Choose the options that allow you to hide certain types of content from your feed (adult content, politics, etc.).

Once confirmed, your registration will be complete, but you will still be able to modify your information later.

Congratulations 🎉! You are now on your Nostr feed homepage.

You can start searching for content by clicking Search in the menu.

You can now follow any profile by clicking the Follow button.

#Back Up Your Private Key

It is now time to back up your private key.

To do this, click Export keys from the settings.

#Edit Your Profile

You can edit your profile at any time to change your picture or description.

#Publish Your First Message

It is now time to publish your first message.

Click the New note button in the bottom-left corner, enter your content in the popup window, and confirm.

#Your First Nostr Message Is Published

Congratulations 🎉! Your first message has just been published on the Nostr network!
