Private Session messaging
Install and use Session to communicate without a phone number.
This tutorial was written over two years ago. As the world of technology evolves rapidly, some information may no longer be identical to new versions of the software or applications presented.

#Install Session
Download the application corresponding to your platform and install it.
In this example, we are using Windows, but the process remains similar on other platforms.
Once the application is installed, click Create Account.
#Choose a Username
Choose your username.
#Access the Session Dashboard
Congratulations 🎉! You are now on your Session home page.
#Add a Contact
Before you can send a message, you need to add a new contact.
Click New Message.
You can then enter the recipient’s public key (identifier).
#Send a Message
You can now send your first text message to your recipient or start a voice call.
#Back Up Your Private Key
Remember to write down your own private key on paper.
To do this, go to the application settings.
